With vibrant textiles and the sweet scent of jasmine, head to Altrincham’s So Marrakech for all the spirit of the souk. Located within the hustle and bustle of the town’s Market Quarter, So Marrakech offers Morrocan homeware alongside authentic cuisine.

Bringing an enchanting slice of North Africa to the heart of Altrincham.

Founded in 2018 by Manchester-based Anissa Damoussi, the shop offers a specially curated collection of ethical sourced Moroccan home decor. Being of mixed Moroccan and English heritage, Damoussi has a real affinity with the ‘Red City’ and takes great pride in hand-selecting her stock and showcasing the artisanal products, many created using age-old techniques. With colourful displays of painted pottery, handblown glassware, wooden furniture, raffia baskets, high-quality wool rugs and cushions, So Marrakech brings an enchanting slice of North Africa to the heart of Altrincham.

With Morrocan homeware alongside authentic cuisine, So Marrakech offers all the spirit of the souk.

Welcoming and warm, settle down with a sip of Moroccan mint tea on arrival and peruse the pouffes, placemats and hand-made tagines. A real assault on the senses, So Marrakech also offers a daytime cafe serving delicious contemporary Moroccan breakfasts (check out the Berber eggs and Moroccan pancakes), lunches, pastries and cake.
