Her food really is fantastic – and the situation with The Roadhouse has, unfortunately, been very much subject to circumstances outside of Mary-Ellen McTague’s control. We’re really looking forward to this new venture!

Recently I’ve been at Waterstones Deansgate trying to find some books about small businesses. I decided to read a few pages of one book. It was as very inspiring so I started writing some ideas, and then a staff member came to me and said to me to stop copying information before buing the book! She didn’t even ask me what I was doing (and that was creating NOT copying). She’s just made an assumption and basicaly told me to buy the book. I doubt I’ll ever come back there.

Elsa Schiaparelli was a brilliant designer and this exhibition makes it clear how her work was tied to modern art. Schiaparelli is forever paired in the public imagination with an imagined rivalry with Coco Chanel, but her designs speak for themselves.

Just tried to book for The Thing at Home and the listing is incorrect. It is an old listing from 2009 at The Cornerhouse, it’s not viewable on any of the bookings pages on the Home site. Gutted!
